Some SEO Tips for beginners you can apply to your website.
- Creation of a robots.txt file for the spiders, which are the robots that crawl over the web looking for information. This file provides them with a map of what they can index.
- Meta tags are important in the creation of your website as they are used in the site’s development. They’re used to provide the search engine with an index point. The keywords tag tells what the keywords or phrases you’ve selected for that page. The language tag specifies the language of the website if there is more than one. The content of the description tags is taken by most of the search engines as the small introduction text you see when you find the page on the search engine ranking results (SERPS).
- Get as many incoming links as possible, pages are ranked based on the amount of links that lead to your site. The more links that lead to your page, the higher your ranking will be.
There are dozens of things to consider when getting links to your website, although we consider some of the most important are: 1. If exchanging links, NEVER link to banned websites. 2. Try to get links from related, authority pages. 3. Links from link farms, or low quality websites can harm your website's reputation, AVOID THEM.

- Keywords placed next to links leading to your page will boost your page higher up in the search engine for that specific keyword and related ones.
- Know exactly where SEOs place you in the search engines – Don’t take promises at face value. Someone who promises to place you in the highest rankings of a search engine maybe misleading you by placing you highly in the advertising section instead of search results.
- Always get a contract in writing – This contract should require SEOs to stay within a search engine’s guidelines. The pricing of the service should be clearly outlined with no vague references. A good reputable SEO should always offer a money back guarantee.
- Use bold tags around some keywords – Not every single one, just a couple. Enough to catch someone’s eye.
- Utilize linking to the max – Make sure links are coming in to all of your pages, not just the home page. This is an indicator that you have a site full of good information.
- Try to get a domain address in other countries’ directories.
- Utilize article exchange – When you publish someone else’s article in your web page with a link back to their site, they can also do the same for you. This creates more traffic back to your site from others.
- Make sure your website has a site map – A site map will allow the search engine robots easier access to all the pages of your site.
- When choosing your SEO, keep in mind your targeted site visitors – Make sure your SEO knows the first four choices made by search engine users. The first is that they’ve chosen to use the search engine as their choice of research. Second, they’ve probably chosen one of the top search engines to use in their search and ensure that the SEO will target one of those top ones to get your site ranked highly on. Third, the user knows the keywords that they are going to use to narrow their search and lastly that they will most likely choose among the first ten to appear on the results. The SEO you choose should be making these four choices their main priority for your website.
- Use variety with anchor text – Search engines don’t like automation, which is repetitions of the same phrases over and over. Make sure the words are varied slightly throughout your text.
- Insert keywords into the title – This will help let the search engine know what your site is about and bring more traffic.
